Opera Queensland

After the success of the Flash game "Tomb of Radamès" early in 2010, Opera Queensland asked QMG to produce another interactive game, "The Girl of the Golden West" with the similar aims of reaching a new audience by increasing their online presence, increasing ticket sales, increasing signups to facebook, increasing website visits, increasing signups to the Opera Queensland  e-newsletter, and increasing brand recognition.

After the campaign for Tomb of Radamès, Opera Queensland wanted to increase the ease of spread of the campaign through social media while making the campaign fresh with new functionality for the player.

The Girl of the Golden West game uses the storyline from the actual opera - Polka Saloon owner Minnie is hiding the bandit Ramerrez, aka Dick Johnson, in her log fire cabin. Sheriff Jack Rance and his posse are closing in. Help Minnie clean up the cabin and throw them off the scent to go in the draw to Win one of three Queensland Holiday Packages.
