Put Your Business on the Map

Why little things like Google Places are important to your mobile site!

If you do a Google search from your mobile device and allow location services for something like “Chinese Fortitude Valley” then click on the "Places" tab, you are likely to get a list of businesses that have Google Places set up. You can get directions, read reviews and it even provides a phone number for you to call and make a reservation.

For example:

Google Places integrates reviews from many different websites and apps like:

  • Yellow Pages
  • Qantas
  • Urban Spoon
  • Eatability
  • Trip Advisor
  • True Local
  • Best Restraunts
  • Menu Log
  • Your Restraunts
  • AGFG.com.au

As a customer searching for something to eat I will naturally check out restaurants that have reviews more importantly good reviews. A couple of tips for you:

  • Make sure you have a Google Places page setup
  • Make sure you have a mobile friendly version of your website that allows your customers to view your menu, see your products and more importantly contact you
  • Encourage your customers or clients to write reviews on your Google Places page it really does help

Every business is different so if you want to discuss how Google Places can help your business or how to set up a mobile friendly website give Chris or Dave a call on (07) 3257 0677.
