QMG Cuts Paper Usage By 95%

QMG has decided to do our bit to help the environment by cutting our paper usage by over 95%. We looked at ways to minimise our use of paper and found that we could cut out most of the paper we use from day to day. The benefits have been twofold with our entire internal processes becoming much more efficient as well as helping the environment.

We have achieved our huge paper reduction by:

• Sending out all invoices electronically via email
• Providing all proposals and quotes electronically via email
• Setting up our own Project Management System to track jobs using an online application instead of tracking jobs by paper.

Some examples of what we can do to help your business become environmentally friendly:

• Reduce the number of paper based forms by converting them to online forms. This can be done for both internal and external websites.
• Don't use paper to track your jobs. QMG can create customised job and project tracking applications which are available online. Your data will be stored in one place, reducing the need for duplicate data entry. We can even produce custom reports to help make sense of any data that has been entered.
• Use email marketing instead of printed marketing. Email marketing is cost efficient, environmentally friendly, and you can easily track the success of each campaign. QMG can design email templates and provide the tools necessary to send and track your campaigns.

• Don't send out printed annual reports. Annual reports can be reproduced online on your website and clients given the choice to receive them electronically, saving printing costs and the environment at the same time.
• Don't print product catalogues. Bulky product catalogues can be converted to electronic versions and placed on your website. This eliminates the need to print and post catalogues which can easily become quickly outdated. Any errors or omissions can easily be updated with electronic catalogues as opposed to print catalogues.
• Reduce internal print documentation. If your business has a large amount of internal print documentation such as Policy & Procedures manuals then consider providing these in electronic format. Internal documentation can be provided electronically via an intranet or password protected area of your website. If there is too much data for web use then consider using a CD-ROM to replace print documentation.
