Project Details
Client Problem Description
Suncorp’s skin cancer initiative (2006/2007) required a sub site within the Suncorp.com.au website. The brief for the website featured interactive elements that the Suncorp IT team required out sourcing. The interactive elements were dynamic applications that interacted with the backend of the website in order to deliver information to front end users.
Timeline
A daily UV forecast, events calendar and streaming TV commercials were developed in line with the Suncorp time line of 3 weeks. During this time, the QMG development team developed the required applications, allowed time for testing and delivered on time.
Delivery Method
The brief required the applications to be delivered using Flash while interacting with an ASP backend using XML queries.
Target Audience
Suncorp’s target audience is diverse and wide spread. High and low bandwidth video commercials where created to cater for ADSL and dial up users. Backup GIF imagery was supplied for non-Flash users.
Implemented Solution/Service
Testing proved to be difficult as the Suncorp server’s are highly secure. The solution required a testing area to be set up on the QMG server where a similar environment was simulated. The files were delivered with instructions and support documentation.
