Client Problem Description

Northern Territory Acrylic & Plastics (NTAP)

Prior to the development of the CD-ROM, NTAP’s form of marketing was print, such as brochures and catalogues. They provide a large range of products and services resulting in expensive and timely print production for their product catalogue. NTAP were looking for a cost and time effective method to market their products and services to current and prospective clients.

Timeline

We worked closely with the client through all stages of production, from initial planning and interface design through to the final publishing of the CD-ROM. This ensured that the client was effectively a part of the production team and the CD-ROM would meet their needs and expectations. The project from planning to completion took approximately 1 month.

Delivery Method

Initial concepts suggested the project to be delivered online but the large amount of content and high quality images required the project to be delivered via CD-ROM. This method allows for distribution in hard copy which is a proven method of successful marketing.

Target Audience

The CD-ROM was targeted towards NTAP’s current and prospective clients, whose locations vary from all around Australia to overseas. NTAP provides products to the building, civil, mining, signage, hospitality, aviation, education and marine industries. This diverse audience required an easy to use navigation system and functional aesthetics.

Implemented Solution/Service

Northern Territory Acrylic & Plastics (NTAP)

The easy to use interface enhances user exploration while the minimal navigation system focuses on content whilst promoting exploration.

The production of the CD-ROM proved to be cheaper and less time consuming than printing the same amount of full colour brochures which contained the same amount of content. Postage costs were also greatly reduced as the CD-ROM is much smaller in size and weight than the original bulky print catalogue.

Providing clients with a CD-ROM catalogue gave NTAP a professional presence. This new delivery method brings their company inline with today’s technologies while keeping them one step ahead of their competitors.
