The Story: Scissors... paper... shop!

Little Jane St is a local, independent stationery label that hand designs all sorts of stationery goodies. Little Jane St sell a lot of products through their online shop such as greeting cards and gift enclosures, gift tag sets, paper decoration, prints, ribbon and other stationery tidbits.

Alarna came to QMG with sheets of paper full of doodles, sketches and ideas for how she imagined her website to look and how it should function. After consulting with our Interactive Media Manager Dave, the decision was made to develop the entire website within Flash, which enabled full flexibility on design, animation & interaction.

Little Jane St whipped up the unique design, combining a mixture of traditional design elements with scanned in paper and crafty extras to give the site some personality.

The QMG Flash team then got to work. Although it might not look like it, the website was built in a scalable format which allows for easy addition of more products and images. We worked closely with Little Jane St to ensure every little animation and interaction resinated their unique brand.

The biggest challenge of the project was creating a shopping cart within the Flash website that people would still be able to use and trust. With an increase in online sales since the launch, we think this has been achieved.
