New Project: CFA Fire Safe Kids! Posted on Oct 13th, 2009 • 1 comments The QMG team provides a diverse range of services and as a result we get to work on some exciting and challenging projects. Recently our animator found himself lip synching a koala dressed in a fire fighter uniform and our Flash programmer was briefed to build a drag and drop activity in which the user had to drag pet animals into a backpack! This might all sound a little strange but the end result was all for a great cause... QMG collaborated with Education Image in Melbourne to build an interactive e-Learning game for the Victorian Country Fire Authority called - Fire Safe Kids! The purpose of the game was to provide an educational online resource for primary school children living in regions of Victoria prone to bushfires. QMG provided the illustration, animation, voice over and Flash programming required to successfully develop the game. Guided by three lively firefighting characters, children are led through a series of sections - Bushfire Awareness, Bushfire Preparation and Bushfire Planning. In each section they are presented with age appropriate information, then prompted to complete a collection of interactive activities to reinforce what they have just learnt. Despite tight deadlines, the project was a success. Please check out the game and let us know what you think. www.cfa.vic.gov.au/students/projects/index.htm#eLearning Related Links: Country Fire Authority: www.cfa.vic.gov.au Education Image Pty Ltd: www.ei.com.au CommentsAir Jordan said...Wonderful ideas, I favor to write responses as it allows web owners to remain more engaged and for the chance to know from each other.
