Global Game Jam 2010 Posted on Feb 9th, 2010 • 0 comments The Global Game Jam is an event organised by the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) to give the world an opportunity to create games in the biggest Game Jam to date.Ok some of us spent the weekend at the beach, but the rest of us were in awe of the Global Game Jam (GGJ). The worlds biggest jam session for interactive game developers. It is huge and takes place at different cities in countries right around the world. In Australia the Global Game Jam sites were in Melbourne at Deakin University Burwood, Perth and Sydney at the Powerhouse Museum. Every year there is a theme and the participants are challenged to create a game prototype within 48 hours. This year’s theme was: Deception. 2010 was a record breaking year for the worldwide jam session. Check out the games created here. So many games - how will we find time to play them all! Our team has managed to win a few awards for our interactive stuff...we may have to throw our developers in the deep end next year *watch this space*. ![]() Tags: Interactive Digital, Digital Marketing, Web design, Flash Development Categories: QMG Show and Tell, Inspiring Ideas, Geek Conversation « all blog posts |
